Vincent Jackson Returns

Having one weapon is good.  Having two is even better.

Winston had a good thing going with Mike Evans last year, connecting for 1,206 yards through the air.  There is no reason to assume that won’t continue in 2016 and beyond.  The concern, however, was that they only connected three times for touchdowns.  Why is a talented receiver, who also happens to stand at 6’5″, scoring only three times?

Nobody was there to take the heat off of Evans, that’s why.

Vincent Jackson, who also stands at 6’5″, was only around for ten games in 2015, limiting his production to 33 receptions for 543 yards and three touchdowns of his own.  Adam Humphries filled in nicely, posting 27 catches, mainly because he didn’t pose nearly the threat of a Mike Evans.  All of the attention was on Evans, limiting his ability to score.

With a healthy “V-Jax”, that should open up room for both players.  And that means big numbers for Mr. Winston.
