Every season there are positional battles during training camp that could greatly affect how a team’s season will go, so let look at those competitions that will occur for the Buccaneers during Hard Knocks in more detail.

With the announcement that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp schedule will begin on July 28th as in every season there will be positional battles that will be fierce but essential to help the team achieve its ultimate goals.

Such as last season on August 1st when Coach Dirk Koetter announced that Adam Humphries had won the slot receiver battle. That turned into a win as he was a very effective slot receiver finishing third in receptions, yards, and touchdowns behind Mike Evans and tight end Cameron Brate.

Other recent training camp battles helped the team decide in 2015 that fourth round draft pick linebacker Kwon Alexander was a better fit as their middle linebacker then free agent signee Bruce Carter.

I think that turned out pretty good for the Buccaneers who have one of the best young linebackers in Kwon, and Carter is mainly a special teamer now with the Jets.

Let’s take a look at what I believe will be some of the most interesting Buccaneers training camp battles to watch, which incidentally will be broadcast on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
