Some of the best trades in Buccaneers history were very instrumental in the team’s success including helping to win the ultimate prize of a Lombardi Trophy. Here are the five best in franchise history.

With it being the calm time before the excitement of training camp, I figured now would be a good time to talk about NFL trades and of course not just any trades but Tampa Bay Buccaneers trades.

Trades in professional sports are usually made for a couple of reasons: To better your team, to get rid of a player who doesn’t want to be there, or for coveted draft picks either moving up/down or just acquiring more picks.

Some of the traded picks occurred in the previous seasons draft or prior to last season.

During training camp and preseason last year there were a total of eighteen trades made, accounting for 55% of total trades (33), made during the entire season.
