The Super Bowl is two weeks away, and while we know who’s going to be playing in the Harbaugh Bowl, the Buccaneers have little to no stake in the matter. What they do have a massive stake in is their own future and one way to ensure it’s a bright one is to focus on the NFL Draft.

It’s an impressive class this year, with a record number of underclassman declaring. Tampa Bay ended up with the 13th pick and while we’ll have plenty of coverage of the Bucs here at The Pewter Plank, it’s always fun to take a look at the board as a whole.

The NFL regular season has come to an end, and the NFL Draft order is officially set — sort of. The teams that have qualified for the playoffs will pick in the order that they are eliminated, but as for the teams on the outside looking in, they know know for sure exactly where they’re picking come April’s draft.

For the Buccaneers, despite winning their final game of the season, they will be the first NFC South team to make a selection and the 13th overall NFL team to be put on the clock.

The hope was that the Bucs could secure a top 10 draft pick and ensure that they can grab top cornerback Dee Milliner from Alabama, but picking 13th doesn’t mean he’s not going to land in Tampa. Of the teams picking above the Bucs currently, not many need a cornerback over their other needs.

But honestly, it’s way too early to tell.

We will have plenty of draft coverage right here on The Pewter Plank in the months to com leading up to the draft at the end of April. But for now, here’s a look at the final NFL Draft order for the 20 teams who didn’t make the playoffs in 2012:
