NFL.com’s Steve Wyche has recently posted a feature on the Bucs second-year DT Brian Price. The bulk of the story is that Price, who is excited about next year, still isn’t running yet. He’s being very cautious during his recovery, especially during the lockout, but he’s still not ready to go yet. What’s more disturbing, and this has been mentioned several places, is that the Bucs misdiagnosed Price last year. Initially he was though to have a hamstring issue before it was discovered that he had sustained pelvic fractures back in the summer (this was discovered in week five).

While the Bucs medical staff has done a stupendous job with rehabbing the oft-injured Cadillac Williams and Kellen Winslow, this doesn’t exactly inspire much confidence on their pre-draft prognosis of Da’Quan Bowers either. They got Brian Price’s injury wrong and the had about four months with him. They had far less time with Bowers. Click the link below to check out the feature, it’s worth the read.
