I was going to do my normal game breakdown for this Sundays tilt vs the high powered Broncos offense, but this game boils down to one thing in my opinion, pressure.

Cutler and the Broncos passing game are ranked 2nd in points at 33 points per game, 1st in yards at 435 yards per game, and 2nd in passing offense at 314 yards per game. We do not have anyone at corner that can handle either Brandon Marshall or Eddie Royal one on one, especially if Aqib Talib is out, so expect to see an even bigger dose of Tampa/Cover 2 this weekend than we normally see. I’d expect our defense to run the Tampa/Cover 2 almost exclusively all game long.

Cutler has only been sacked 2 times in 4 games, which is a direct correlation to their gaudy passing numbers. Even after missing a game, Brandon Marshall is tied for the lead league in receptions at 31, and Eddie Royal is tied for third with 27. Without pressure on QB Jay Cutler, expect our defense to look as inept at stopping the passing attack as everyone else has up to this point.

I think our offense will be able to move the ball with ease on the Broncs’ D because, well, everyone has. They rank 31st in pass D, 30th in total yards D, and 29th in points allowed. We rank 9th in the league in both passing and rushing yards, so just like I previously mentioned, moving the ball on this team will not be the hard part.

Our 6 man Dline rotation of Gaines Adams, Greg White, Kevin Carter, Jimmy Wilkerson, Jovan Haye, and Chris Hovan ( Ryan Sims is questionable) have been great so far this season at pressuring the QB, especially vs the Falcons and last week vs Aaron Rodgers. If we expect to win, this trend must continue.
