SEE THE REST OF THE POWER RANKINGS HERE

Houston may have struggled a bit in their Monday night game against the Jets, but they also didn’t look like a team that is going to lose anytime soon. The Jets gave them their toughest game to date, and really if a better quarterback was under center in New York we may have had an upset. But the Texans see the errors in their ways and that’s scary for the rest of the NFL.

The Minnesota Vikings are slowly becoming the second best team in football and if it were not for the Falcons undefeated streak, the second spot very well could have been Minnesota. But Christian Ponder needs to get better before the Vikings can be considered a viable threat to the Texans and Falcons defenses. We saw what Houston did to Mark Sanchez and while Ponder is better, he’s only slightly so. The same, albeit a much better case, can be said about the Chicago Bears and Jay Cutler. It seems the Bears are winning in spite of Cutler as he never gets anything going offensively until the defense scores three touchdowns and gets him 50 points of breathing room. It’s only then do we see a good Jay Cutler come to the field to inflate his worth, numbers and ego.

Finally, the Arizona Cardinals were very lucky to stay in the Top 10 this week, as they couldn’t have looked much worse against the Rams. That offense line is shoddy at best and it’s a weakness that will no doubt be exposed and sink this Cardinals team. Of all the successful teams in the NFL right now, the Cardinals have seemingly lucked their way into the bunch and are slowly being exposed as frauds in the power rankings.

The Bucs of course were hated on, with an 18th place average finish. This would put Fan-Sided’s Bloggers on par with ESPN’s so called experts who had 1 out of 16 geniuses pick us to make the playoffs (Wild Card). I love going into the season though with low expectations from other teams and talking heads.

Be sure to check the link out regardless though, as it is a pretty sweet little piece.
