The Buccaneers have, for the most part, rid themselves of their aging veterans and have gone in a different direction. The process of getting younger may not appeal to many fans, but it will build a solid foundation for future years. With a young Quarterback in Josh Freeman locked up, two talented rookie wide receivers (Mike Williams and Arrelious Benn), and a handful of young defensive starters in hand, the Bucs look to be a contender down the road. Now we don’t know when they will finally get back to their former Super Bowl level they once had in the early 2000′s, but their time will come…eventually.

As of right now, the Buccaneers rank THIRD for overall age on an NFL roster. The five youngest teams are as followed:

1. Texas – 25.9

2. Jaguars – 26.4

3. Buccaneers – 26.6

4. Rams – 26.6

5. Giants – 26.6
