Start ‘Em: Vick Ballard – RB|Colts (at New York Jets)
Donald Brown is out 2-3 weeks which means something called Vick Ballard is going to get the reps in his place. So why is Ballard a start in fantasy? Well he’s playing the New York Jets on a team that is playing inspired ball right now. The Jets aren’t the same team they used to be and that’s evident in their inability to stop the run. Seven running backs have scored against them and in case you’re keeping count, we’re only in week 6; five of those seven running backs have gone into double digit fantasy points against the Jets. Obviously no know has heard of Ballard before and he’s likely only on the deepest of rosters in the deepest of formats, but if you have a chance to pick him up you might not be sorry. Donald Brown has had a successful year so far and if you already have him, handcuffing with Ballad is a must. But unlike most handcuffs, Ballard might pay off big with the time he’s given.
