Malik Jackson leaves a big gap in the Broncos’ defensive front, and unfortunately it’s not one which can be addressed with the 31st pick. However, Denver can still strengthen their defensive front by upgrading the middle of the line with Louisiana Tech’s Vernon Butler.

Butler is a big strong lineman who played in every position on the Bulldogs’ front line in college. In the NFL, he doesn’t appear to have the speed and quickness to translate to the outside, but his power base and never quit motor, will give him success in Denver.
