With three months left until the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick off their 2016 season, here are three predictions for the man wearing no. 3 for the Bucs: second-year quarterback Jameis Winston.

When the Buccaneers selected Jameis Winston with the number one overall pick in the 2015 draft, fans could only hope that the franchise had found its quarterback and face of the future. Through just one season the former Florida State standout has looked the part, but enters a very important second season, starting with a matchup in Atlanta against the Falcons on September 11.

In his first season, Winston broke team records, put himself in an elite class of rookie quarterbacks with Andrew Luck and Cam Newton (the only two quarterbacks to throw for more yards in their rookie seasons) and made his first Pro Bowl appearance (as a reserve). If Winston’s rookie season was any indication, the Bucs’ offense is in for a bright future. That should start with 2016.

In 2016, Winston will get the luxury of having a stable offensive coordinator, as Dirk Koetter was promoted to head coach this offseason. He will also get to continue building a connection with his top receivers, Mike Evans and a healthy Vincent Jackson. And, after easing into a leadership role last year, the upcoming season will be his first full one as the team’s true centerpiece.

Here, we have three predictions for Jameis Winston in his second season.
