Buccaneers’ great Simeon Rice was a stud on the field, and has had an interesting career off of it. He will soon be seen at a famous and beloved convention.
Any Buccaneers’ fan knows the name Simeon Rice, and with good reason. He brought a great deal of pain to opposing quarterbacks. His 69.5 sacks while a member of the Bucs is good for third in team history (including sacks prior to 1981). From 2001-2005, Rice was in the land of double-digit sacks in each season. His dominance was felt in the playoffs as he posted four sacks along the way to the Super Bowl win over Oakland.
Well, are any of you Comic-Con fans? If you are, and you can get out to this year’s event, an old friend will be there.
Here are some additional details about Rice and his appearance, courtesy of Indican Pictures:

Rice has had quite the career since leaving the field. He started his own hip hop recording label, in addition to all of the directing and production work noted above. You don’t often hear the term “Renaissance Man”, and especially not when talking about NFL football players.
But Simeon Rice is that rare combination of athletic prowess and brains that should be celebrated more often than it is.
