The second Baton Rouge Tiger may be the most popular nationwide as the powerful Leonard Fournette lasts to pick number six and goes from the bayou to the Big Apple.

Gang Green will love this young man’s running style and his willingness – and dare I say – passion for the physicality of football.

Personally, I prefer the faster Florida State prospect to Fournette because of durability concerns and the smaller Seminoles’ ability to play out of the backfield, but this running back fits what the Jets identity seems to be.

Getting a year behind Matt Forte will help him immensely, and if his body can withstand the beating, he should give the Jets a bell-cow for the better part of a decade if not more.

At the combine, I’m going to be especially interested to see his 40-yard dash times and see him in the cone drills.

We all know he’s powerful, but can he be light on his feet and shiftier than most think he is?
