4. Josh Huff, … Donteea Dye, … or Freddie Martino … or all 3 Wide Receivers?

With the free agent signing of wide receiver DeSean Jackson and the third round selection of wide receiver Chris Godwin, the Bucs have improved their receiving corps greatly. So that leaves two or potentially three receivers from last season on the current roster being released. The most likely candidates are the three mentioned above in Josh Huff, Donteea Dye, and or Freddie Martino.

Huff was brought to the team after being released by the Eagles and played in three games with a total of three catches for 41 yards. He was acquired last season to provide a spark in the return game but fell out of favor quickly after he muffed his first punt return attempt and was never really a factor after that.

Dye played in one game last season with zero catches after playing in ten games with five starts the season before, and was basically a special teamer last season. Martino had the most impact out of these three, playing in thirteen games last season with zero starts but did manage eight catches for 142 yards and a touchdown. With Jackson and Godwin in the fold and potentially some UDFAs receivers making the team, all three of these players could be released either outright or in hopes of bringing them back to the practice squad.
