No. 2: SF 49ers EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul

Again, Super Bowl experience is awfully vital for any player, and the Buccaneers can count on another league champion in EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul, who has also undergone quite the revitalization of his career in 2020 after registering a team-high 9.5 sacks en route to his third Pro Bowl nomination.

Pierre-Paul was a primary reason why the Packers had difficulty on offense during the NFC Championship, and the veteran pass-rusher was seemingly in Green Bay’s backfield on a regular basis pressuring Aaron Rodgers and sacking him twice.

Patrick Mahomes is more than adept at extending plays with his legs and taking advantage of situations where it seems as if there’s nothing available. But as was the case with the Packers offensive line, the Chiefs O-line is also banged up and poised to be without some key starters for the game.

Perhaps that’s the perfect opportunity for Pierre-Paul and his fellow rushers to make quite the impact.

Pierre-Paul doesn’t have to get home on every occasion. But he’s still a massive threat, and his mere presence could have a similar impact for the Buccaneers defense as it looks to limit the damage Mahomes and Co. will ultimately do.
