I come from a big football family outside of Boston. My mother was a Boston Patriots fan from the beginning. My brother tried out for that team and was the last to get cut. Both my brothers played on the team at Columbia University in 1961 that won the one championship- Ivy League D-1 Conference. I went to all their games and loved it. When I was senior in high school, I finally made cheerleading. I know how to cheer and look forward to contributing to The Pewter Plank and watching the Bucs win their way to the Super Bowl. I'm also writing my memoirs, "The Arab American Banner Society." My uncle earned his sobriquet in 1944 at Colby College, for causing mayhem on the football field. They called him "Turk."
