Thoughts From Bucs Fans

None of the following are views necessarily expressed by the Pewter Plank, but they aren’t necessarily views that we disagree with.  I’ve spent a lot of time criticizing the majority of Bucs fans, and I’ve spent a lot of time criticizing the coaching staff, now, I’ll just let them criticize each other.  These are all responses on forums from the major Tampa Bay newspapers’ stories about yesterdays game.

• Look at the brighter side they haven’t done a thing to ruin the Perfect Season (0-16). They’re going for the coveted prize “the #1 pick in the 2010 draft”.
• I asked my 5 year olds to list 3 things that really suck in life. Too my surprise their response was: 1) The Glazers suck.2) The Buccaneers Coaching staff sucks.3) The Buccaneers Players suck. They also added the Buccaneers Fans are the greatest fans in the World and they deserve a much better team than this.  As a parent I was left with no choice but to add the Buccaneers games to the parental control list. When the blackouts begin I’ll be able to remove them from the list with the exception of the televised away games. I realize this is somewhat extreme, but I feel I need to instill a WINNERS attitude in their young lives by not allowing them to be exposed to LOSERS.
• It is totaly obvious that the Glazers dont care about this fotball team this year, thanks alot Mr. Glazer, now watch the stadium seats empty out, /crickets…
• It’s funny Jags sytem was used in the game against Dallas. Then Olsen puts in some West Coast plays and low and behold look where the Offense is. Gruden ran the West Coast and he’s gone and now Olsen is implementing his version of the West Coast. Did they FIRE the wrong guy?
• Now after today’s game I’m worried. The Bucs are not the only extremely horrible team in the NFL. St.Louis can give us a run for the number 1 draft. Close behind are Cleveland and Kansas City. After today’s game and the head coach’s play calling and decisions made during critical times of the game our quest for 0-16 is in perfect hands.
• The only thing that comes to mind is pathetic, just pathetic. Inexperienced Owners, inexperienced Coaches and inexperienced Playas. If it looks like a TURD, smells like a TURD. It doesn’t matter how well you dress it up, you still have to flush it down the bowl.
• Why no blame for the GM (Dominick) or the Owners? They are the ones who put together this collection of cr@p. Nice job paying Clayton who can’t catch anything. Has he caught ONE BALL since week 1? NO! Nice job getting rid of Matt Bryant. No one to blame except GM for that one. You get what you deserve WHEN YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE HECK YOU ARE DOING. CAN’T BELIEVE THIS TOWN RAN OFF GRUDEN AND ALLEN- what a shame.
• I admit I was one of those who said give Raheem a chance, but its obvious he ISN’T ready to be a head coach yet. Maybe he should atleast run just a defense for a few years, then make that jump. Him and the new GM have made BAD MOVES: 1.Hiring Bates 2.Hiring Jagz 3.Letting Olson call plays 4.Signing Clayton to a big contract 5.Trading for Winslow 6.Letting Brooks go(no leadership on defense) 7.Not drafting defensive playmakers of anykind. This is just the tip of our problems, I think Raheem is a good guy, but all the chest-bumping with the players dont mean anything when you’re still 0-4. Lets be real here we all know the Bucs are gonna have a top 5 pick next year, Im just wondering if we will get that #1 over-all pick.
• I, for one, am SICK of high fives and hugs from the coaches – is this 8th grade football? Do we all get little silver trophies for trying hard? Blecchhhh!
• Fire Raheem and get a new staff in here ASAP. Raheem is clueless and contradicts himself daily. I have no confidence he can manage his way out of the parking lot. He’s clueless and it’s showing. Every decision he makes is wrong.
• The Bucs were afraid Raheem Morris would go somewhere else and turn into another Lovie Smith or Mike Tomlin. Instead, they kept him, and he looks a lot like Rod Marinelli right now.
• Dumb, De Dumb Dumb. Raheem the Dream is not Mike Tomlin. Mike, please come back. We’ll give you…well, please come back.
• Gee, did the Washington coaches go in at halftime and make adjustments? Yes! Then they come out and scored, and played better defense. How about the Tampa coaches, did they make adjustments? Oh, I forgot, they don’t know how! Might you say coaching was the problem?
• Like RahRah said after the game, “you can WHAT IF a whole bunch of things.” Okay like, WHAT IF we had an offensive coordinator. WHAT IF the coaches could make adjustments. WHAT IF the head coach had experience making crucial decisions. WHAT IF the GM could evaluate talent or sign FAs. WHAT IF the Glazer boys had a brain between them. WHAT IF the owners spent money on THIS team. Well we might have a win…
• Oh and lets not forget your favorite rat, Michael Clayton. Thrown to twice, dropped two passes. That’s the reason you guys don’t roast Clayton cause he was your lockerroom snitch last year. Made up a lot of lies about Gruden and all you hacks believed him. What a pack of hayseeds you hacks are.
• Raheem, I just wanted to say that I am sorry for dogging you so much lately. I’m sorry that the set-up QB Battle winner, Mr. Sluggo, is now on the Bench. I’m sorry that that wonderful kicker you kept when you got rid of sure footed Matt Bryant is not quite panning out for you at this time. I’m even sorry that you didn’t get a few more plays before you had to fire that Mean ol’ O-Coordinator, Jags. I’m sorry, too, that all of us questioned your Coaching abilities. After all, you came sooo close today. I’m sorry that no one has come forward to teach you how to make mid-game adjustments, like that mean ol’ coach for washington did a half-time. After all, everything seemed to be going your way until that coach made those nasty ol’adjustments. You are the Dream, Raheem. You have made soo many good decisions, as a coach, that I know that you will win a game in your Lifetime. Just not a Football game, YOU IDIOT! Cuz you AIN”T A COACH! LACK OF COACHING ABILITY LOST THE GAME TODAY, IDIOT.
• Put a fork in us we’re done!!!
• Lose Morris or lose your fan base!
• You guys that said to give Morris time aren’t saying that “Morris the Wonder Clown” isn’t a coach, are you? And you are surprised that Nugent isn’t a kicker? Even after the “Wonder Clown” picked him over Matt Bryant, the surest foot we’ve had in years. And, Hey, what about “Wonder Clown Waterboy’s” 1st pick, after letting go of all the good players, Leftwich? I can’t imagine why he would be sitting on a bench. After all, he was sooo much better than McCown, you know, the “only” QB we had that other teams wanted. Where are all you Morris lovers now? Why aren’t you checking in? Hey, Morris the Wonder Clown made some great adjustments mid game, didn’t he? When Wash. made adjustments and started containing & scoring, didn’t the Wonder Clown & his merry staff do the same? No? that’s right, he can’t spell adjustment! My bad, I forgot he wasn’t a coach.
• Could this team please sit Clayton down before I break my high priced flat screen. Have you ever noticed how none of these writers say anything bad about Clayton. The reason is because he was probably there little rat last year in the lockerroom. He was a snitch spreading false rumors bout Gruden and the team. What a great character guy.
• Anyone else looking forward to blackouts so we can watch other games and good teams play? I’m tired of taking my wife and daughters to the mall at halftime. I mean, how many pairs of shoes do they need?
