Buccaneers Rookie of the Year

Which first-year Buccaneers has made the best first impression?

Winner: Mike Glennon

Second Place: Tim Wright

Third Place: Johnthan Banks

Despite finishing behind him in Offensive Player of the Year voting, Glennon barely beats Wright for the number one position in Rookie of the Year votes. The rookie from NC State isn’t quite to franchise quarterback levels, but he’s managing the offense with a good deal of poise and a lot of good decisions.

Johnthan Banks earns third place here thanks to his early season successes, and because he’s asked to do a lot as the “non-Revis” corner. He’s been heavily targeted, and has proven himself to be capable in many situations. He gets burned now and then, but overall it’s been a solid debut for the Mississippi State rookie.

Akeem Spence and Mike James also received votes in this category.
