The remaining two semifinalists square off in the fan voted Pewter Plank Buccaneers Play of the Year tournament.

We’re almost there. Now, it’s time to find out which jaw dropping play will be the next one to make it to the finals. The Buccaneers had plenty of amazing plays throughout the season but only one can finish as the absolute best. Time for the nominees;

Michael Horan made the case for Jameis Winston’s miracle escape against the Chicago Bears as the best play of the year. It was an amazing play to watch unfold as Winston has that knack for those “Oh no. No. NO! NO! NOOOOO! YES!!!” type plays that make us all squirm in our seats. The play against Chicago was the ultimate in his magic.

The Buccaneers would go on to win that game 36-10, starting a five game win streak that would put the Bucs firmly in playoff contention. In his first matych-up, Winston’s scramble dominated the fan vote, beating out what would have won in a landslide if we were doing a “most emotional play of the year”;

Facing off against Winston is Keith Tandy who got a key interception to seal a big time win on the west coast. David Harrison made the case for Tandy who kept the win streak going with his late game heroics – something Bucs fans would become accustomed to over the next few weeks.

As the Chargers were down by seven in the fourth quarter and deep in Bucs’ territory, Rivers took a shot to tie the game. Before the snap Vernon Hargreaves signaled something to Tandy based on what they saw during film study, tipping Tandy off to what the Chargers were about to do. It paid off as Tandy was able to come up with the interception and seal the deal in San Diego in front of a large Buccaneers contingent known as “The Buccaholics”.

Tandy’s play won its first match-up easily, beating out a Winston-to-Humphries touchdown on Sunday Night Football against the Cowboys;

So who will make it to the finals? Will it be Winston for his Houdini act? Or will Keith Tandy yet again overcome the odds and steal one away in the closing minutes? Your votes decide!
