Sit ‘Em: Adrian Peterson – RB/Minnesota Vikings (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)
If Adrian Peterson doesn’t tear up his left knee in week 16 of last year, he’s obviously a must-start against a terrible Jaguars team. But because he’s barely seen action since his knee was surgically repaired, he’s best suited for the bench in Week 1. In fact, Peterson isn’t to be started until he breaks out again. If you have him on roster, and he does break out in a game, you can afford to miss out the points that week because you know they’re coming again the next week. But surgically repaired” is never a phrase that has motivated and hyped up fantasy owners. Until he breaks out, he’s just going to be a vacuum of a start in your lineup that could be used on a player that is actually capable of making an early impact. Peterson is a great mid to late season fantasy start this year, but he’s going to be slow getting his motor running this year and you don’t want his disappointing numbers dragging your team down.
