Fantasy Football: Week 1 Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Start ‘Em: Pierre Garcon – WR/Washington Redskins (at New Orleans Saints)

I’m not one to jump on popular bandwagons, but RGIII has shown a keen liking to Pierre Garcon and if it wins me fantasy games, I’ll get on board. Garcon has been RGIII’s top receiving option thus far and their preseason connection is very likely to continue into the regular season. Plus, the Saints secondary is nothing to be particularly proud of as it was a unit that regularly ranked in the bottom half of the NFL in terms of defenses that surrendered fantasy points to wide receivers. All of this looks to be a perfect storm for not only RGIII to make an impressive NFL debut against a hardened defense, but it looks to reflect well on your fantasy team if you give Garcon a starting spot this week.
