Sit ‘Em: Micheal Vick – QB/Eagles (at Baltimore Ravens)
Our own Patrick Allen tagged Vick as his 2012 bust of the year, and so far Michael Vick has done nothing to convince him he’s otherwise. A lot of people will take issue with suggesting that Vick is a fantasy sit on Sunday, but look at the facts and they will open your mind like Morpheus to Neo. First off, Vick is always a risk these days, his last dismal game against the Browns is proof of that. Second, in said dismal game, Vick was brutalized by the Browns defense getting hit a total of 16 times. That’s the Browns defense, ya know that Super Bowl caliber, hard hitting style of defense. Wait a minute, that’s not them who am I thinking of….oh that’s right, Vick’s Week 2 opponent, the Ravens. If the Browns can beat up Vick that badly, imagine what an actual defense will do to him. The Ravens haven’t allowed a quarterback to throw for multiple touchdowns in a fantasy game in their last 19 games — that dates back to 2010. Vick also threw four interceptions, which is something you know that hungry Ravens secondary is going to drool over all day long. Let’s face it, Vick isn’t just a risky option this week, he’s going to be that way all season long.
