Sit ‘Em: Chris Johnson – RB/Titans (at Houston Texans)
I guess there’s a theme in this week’s Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em and it’s how once prominent fantasy stars who were titans a few years ago, are ghosts of the shells of their former selves. No one personifies that more so than Chris Johnson. No one has flamed out faster than the fastest man in the NFL, as Johnson has failed to garner any sort of redeeming fantasy accolades this season. Johnson went from CJ2K to that guy that plays for the Titans, and anyone who rolled the dice on him this year are paying dearly. This week Johnson gets the best defense in the NFL in the Houston Texans who have been a brick wall against running backs all year, and Johnson won’t be an exception to that. Johnson has averaged fewer than 6.5 fantasy points per game so far this year and if that’s not enough for you to not only sit him but dump him from your roster, I’m not sure what will. There are still some out there that value names over production and trading Johnson to those fools is really the only value he holds at this point.
