Fantasy Football: Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Start ‘Em: Kyle Rudolph – TE/Vikings (at Detroit Lions)
Last week, I told my brother to drop Kyle Rudolph from his fantasy roster in favor of Martellus Bennett. That seems like a good move considering Bennett’s production but after the week Rudolph had last week against the supposed best defense in the NFL, Rudolph’s upside for the next few weeks is enough to hold on to him and start him. The Vikings shocked the world last week by moving to 2-1 by beating the 49ers and this week he gets a Lions team that apparently wants to erase last year’s success and replace it with woeful memories of the bag over the head days. The Lions are just awful at the moment, and in all honesty they should be 0-3. Rudolph is part of the new breed of tight end in the style of Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham and if he can keep up his consistency, Christian Ponder has not given anyone good reason to believe he won’t throw his way. If the Vikings beat the Lions and improve to 3-1 Rudolph is going to deserve some serious consideration each week.
