We’ve had an extra week to prepare for how we want to play our money on the Buccaneers upcoming game. We are a miserable 2-7 thus far through the Buccaneers four losses, but this game against Philly we are going to get almost all of back. We’ll be one game short of .500 at the end of the day Sunday.

So what are we going to bet you ask? Well, let’s set the table first. The Buccaneers 1 point underdogs after the announcement of Vick being inactive and the total sits at 45.5. It’s also worth noting the Buccaneers are at +120 on the moneyline (hint, hint).

Let’s start with the one we are less comfortable with, and therefore we are going to only bet one unit on. That’s the total. 45.5 is an awfully low number for an NFL game in this era. But this is the Buccaneers we are talking about.

The Eagles won’t be able to run Chip Kelly’s gimmick offense quite as well with Nick Foles. I expect this game to go under, but I think it will be close. But the only reason it’s going to be close is because the Eagles defense is so bad it’s almost hard to not score 20 on them. So, take the under, but don’t go crazy like we are going to on the winner.

Alright, sit down before you read this. Are you sitting? Ok. We are going to bet not one, but two units on the Buccaneers winning this football game. And we aren’t going to take the point, we are playing this game on the moneyline. The Buccaneers are coming off a bye, and have had a full two weeks to prepare Mike Glennon for this brutal Eagles defense. The defense has likely been preparing for Vick prior to last Sunday, but now know it’ll be Foles. This is a defense that has been great in four straight weeks.

The Bucs are historically good off the bye (5 out of last 6), and with the rookie QB getting all the reps for the first full week, the time should help even more than usual.

Yes, we are down a whopping five units just four games into the year. But when we go 2-0 and win 3.5 units against the Eagles, we will be just half a unit from even.

I’m so confident in this one, I’m actually going to give you a score. Buccaneers 24, Eagles 10. Now it’s your job to take it to the bank.
