Quarter Two

Third and goal, Titans’ 6: From the shotgun, Winston takes the snap looking for his first touchdown. Nobody is open, so he scrambles to the left. Seferian-Jenkins helps his quarterback by crossing the formation from right to left. Winston finds him, and it is a touchdown for the Buccaneers!

First and ten, Buccaneers’ 47: After a penalty on the Titans’ punt, Tampa is in good field position at their own 47. Two backs are straight behind Winston. He takes the snap, but with nobody open, he correctly scrambles to do what he can, gaining one yard.

Third and two, Titans’ 45: Winston is looking for a quick conversion, taking the snap from under center with one back behind him. Nobody is open down field, so he alertly scrambles through the lane that has opened up in front of him. However, it closes up quickly, and the Bucs are left with a fourth and one.

First and ten, Buccaneers’ 20: Winston takes the snap from center.  Vincent Jackson is lined up on the left side, and Jackson executes a double move.  On the cut to the post, Jackson finds a soft spot in the defense, and Winston hits him for an 18 yard game.

First and ten, Buccaneers’ 38: Getting the tempo going, Winston gets his team to the line quickly.  He takes the snap, and after play action, takes it himself through a huge hole on the right side for an eight yard pickup.

Second and two, Buccaneers’ 46: It’s up-tempo now, as Winston gets his team to the line in the no-huddle.  He takes the quick snap, and rolls to the right.  Louis Murphy is on the right side, and he runs  deep curl route, running his opponent deep, and then curling back to the ball.  Murphy was open, but Winston’s throw was off-line, and fell incomplete out of bounds.

makes a great leaping grab for the interception, and the drive ends right there.

First and ten, Buccaneers’ 20: The Buccaneers are looking to make something happen with 48 seconds to go in the first half.  Winston is in the shotgun, with Charles Sims lined up to his left.  They are looking for a screen pass once again, but this time it works to perfection, and Sims scampers for 18 yards.

First and fifteen, Buccaneers’ 33: After a false start, Winston and the Bucs are at their own 33 yard line.  From the gun, Winston takes the snap, and has to roll to the right as the pressure is on from his left.  He is hit as he throws, and the pass intended for Sims falls incomplete and the first half comes to an end.
