Louisville. Sheldon Rankins. 26. player. 36.
Sheldon Rankins is quite possibly the biggest boom or bust prospect in this mock. He’ll add good depth to a Seahawks front line, and depth is what the Seahawks need.

Seattle is coming closer and closer to a problem all teams experience when they have prolonged success; they’ll have to choose who to pay, and who to let walk. Two of the players who will demand big paydays are on the defensive line, so stashing away a lineman like Sheldon now, who can develop into a starter would help ensure the Seahawks can transition into a new lineup of successful defenders.

Short-term, Rankins is a formidable player who possesses elite strength and enough athleticism combined with effort to make him effective in stopping the run. For the Seahawks to make another deep run, they’ll need the depth Sheldon brings.
.
