Chris Ivory

It’s becoming more and more likely by the day that the Jets will be letting Chris Ivory walk. They have other players that need their attention, such as Ryan Fitzpatrick and Damon Harrison to name a couple, and they just don’t have the money to go around. This could work out very well for the Bucs.

He is coming off of his best year as a pro, posting 1,070 yards, seven touchdowns, and averaging 71 yards per game. His style is unique, with the strength and power to run over people, and surprising speed to run around them. He posted some dominating performances in 2015, rushing for 166 yards against the Dolphins in London, followed by a 146 yard performance against the Redskins.

Ivory’s style does lend toward nagging injuries, and he has had some cold spells where he isn’t as effective. But he has only missed two games over his three-year Jets career, and Charles Sims is still on the roster. Sims would be as good of a change of pace for Ivory as he was for Martin, and the one-two punch they would form in Tampa would be quite imposing.
