Lamar Miller

If the Miami Dolphins let this player go, Lamar Miller would be an excellent choice. Here is a guy that is coming into his own as he gets older. Over the last two years, Miller has scored 16 times. He has averaged 4.8 yards per carry in that timeframe, and posted over 1,900 yards on the ground. Yes, Miller dropped from 1,099 yards in 2014 to 872 yards last season. However, he carried the ball less, as the Dolphins played from behind much more often in 2015.

Miller also has one important trade that has improved with age, protecting the football. Last year, in 194 carries, Lamar fumbled once. Martin fumbled five times in 288 carries. Five is not a number anybody is going to be happy with in the fumble category. Miller protects the football.

Should Martin leave, Miller would be an excellent choice.
