Ronnie Hillman
With C.J. Anderson in Denver, Ronnie Hillman isn’t a guy that gets a great deal of attention. That is a mistake. Hillman is a very slippery back that is better than people think. He posted a career best 863 rushing yards and seven touchdowns last season, on 207 carries. That works out to a 4.2 yards per carry average, also tops in Hillman’s young career. Denver’s leading rusher was Hillman, not C.J. Anderson.
He is 5’9″, which admittedly is small for an NFL running back. Then again, Doug Martin also stands at 5’9″, so it clearly isn’t so bad. Warrick Dunn also stood at the same height, and he was a rousing success in Pewter. Denver is going to have to commit a lot of money to hang onto Von Miller. Hillman could be a casualty of the money, and he would be a good alternative, if necessary, to Martin.
