QB. Cal. Jared Goff. 13. player. 54.
Sam Bradford should be moving on, and Mark Sanchez is not a long-term solution. The Eagles need a quarterback, and Cal’s Jared Goff is the best one available.

Carson Wentz has been nipping at Goff’s heels, but Goff’s level of competition and film should separate him, if the combine doesn’t.

The concern with Goff is his frame. At 6’4” 210 lbs., he is not the size you want from an NFL quarterback, but size can be added with nutrition and a workout regimen aimed at adding muscle without sacrificing mechanics.

Good news is Goff is not a running quarterback, and can add the weight without sacrificing his abilities. Adding some talent in front of Goff to ensure he has the time to connect with tight end Zach Ertz, and receivers Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor, will help his rookie year. Building for the future, Goff should provide Philly with a quarterback to build around.

Previously: Jared Goff – QB – Cal
