Alabama. Reggie Ragland. 18. player. 46.
To grade the Colts’ 2015 season as disappointing would be easy to do. However, pinning down their most important needs in the draft is a little more difficult.

Suddenly, in the span of one year, this team went from a Super Bowl contender to a team looking to find the pieces missing from a franchise who didn’t even make the playoffs.

The Colts have a new defensive coordinator, but will keep their base 3-4 scheme, meaning the Colts need to add to their inside linebacker pairing. Reggie Ragland from Alabama is a necessary addition to this defense if they want future success to match their aspirations. Current inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman played admirably, but he can’t do it himself. Adding Ragland to the middle of the defense gives them flexibility, and a legitimate pairing in the center of the defense.

Previously: Ezekiel Elliott – RB – Ohio State
.
