2016 NFL Mock Draft Version 1.1: Shaking Up the First Round

Myles Jack. 2. player. 53. <p>Quarterback is this team’s top need.  There is really no doubt there, the Browns’ quarterback of the future is not on the roster currently, and may not be in the NFL.  However, there don’t appear any quarterback prospects which justify a top-5 selection this season, and the Browns need to address some other needs with their first pick, namely, the linebacker position.</p> <p>Myles Jack is the most talented linebacker in this year’s draft class, and with fewer than six outside linebackers looking like day one or two options, the Browns need to grab Jack while they can.</p> <p>Just like Tunsil before him however, the UCLA stand-out has some injury questions to answer.  He has even more to explain, now that it’s been revealed he will not complete all of the drills in the annual scouting combine.  Doctors will be looking at his surgically repaired knee, teams will get to speak one-on-one with the top defensive player in the draft, and he will show his strength in the bench press.  Other than those opportunities, NFL teams will have to wait until at least March 15 when, according to Monday Morning Quarterback’s Robert Klemko, Jack will participate in drills during UCLA’s pro day.</p> <p>Expect a lot of attention at the pro day, but unless Jack suffers a re-injury he’s a safe bet to go high, and the Browns will have first dibs on him.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Previously:  Joey Bosa – DE – Ohio State</strong></p>.
