Noah Spence – DE – Eastern Kentucky

The Buccaneers need a pass rush, and they need one now.  They also need secondary help, but getting to the quarterback instantly makes your secondary better.

Noah Spence from Eastern Kentucky is one of the combine’s most skilled pass rushers, and he’s also one of the most perplexing.  After showing flashes of elite talent at Ohio State, the end who played opposite of Joey Bosa for a time, he was kicked off of the team for multiple failed drug tests.

From the failure of his time as a Buckeye though, Spence showed his perseverance, and entered a drug treatment program before joining Eastern Kentucky in 2015.

After an incident free 2015 season, Spence was given a chance at the Senior Bowl, and showed all of the talent he had been known for before his troubles.  Becoming a reborn star during the week, Spence climbed mock drafts and it has been speculated he may be a target for the Bucs with the #9 overall pick.

If Spence is truly rehabilitated he could be a pass rushing dynamo for years on the Buccaneers’ defensive line, and teaming him on a line with All-Pro Gerald McCoy will give them their best line combo since Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice.

The only way he’s making it into the second round is if he has an off-field incident or injury, which would take him off of the Bucs’ radar all-together.  So if he’s going to come to Tampa, it’ll be in the first round.
