RISING:  Jason Spriggs – OT – Indiana

The offensive tackle out of Indiana wasn’t exactly thought of as a scrub in the first place, but with his performance at the annual scouting combine, he ensured teams would be thinking about him when their pick comes up.

Spriggs was a true workout warrior, and if NFL teams can get him to execute like he did on the floor in Indy, then they’ll have a sure starter for years to come.

By topping four of the measured categories in the combine, Spriggs made it known he has the strength to be a premier blocker, and the athleticism to keep up with some of the league’s elite pass rushers.

Fellow offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil and Ronnie Stanley secured their spots as the top-two offensive tackles in this year’s class, but Spriggs may have convinced some he just might be the number three over Ohio State’s Taylor Decker.

Teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have been hoping to see Spriggs sitting on the board in the second round, but with his performance on Friday, he may have earned himself a ticket to Day 1.
