RISING:  Emmanuel Ogbah – DE – Oklahoma State

Considered by many to be one of the first players likely to be taken in the second round, Emmanuel Ogbah from Oklahoma State made a solid case for himself to be one of the first 31 names called this April at the NFL Draft.

It’s a passing league, and this means defenses need pass rushers. After the Broncos’ pass rush thoroughly shut down the league’s most productive offense in the Super Bowl, defensive ends have seen their stock this offseason rise to new heights.

  • With prospects seemingly ahead of Ogbah who have character flaws, taking a second look at the young man who put on such a great display at the combine might be worth further consideration.

While he didn’t do enough, not that he could have, to move himself into the top-10 of the 2016 draft, he surely has some first round buzz going on around him, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see a team trade back and take him later, or trade back into day one to get him early.

Either way, finishing near the top in three of the combine’s drills, and looking sharply effective during the position drills, will ensure Emmanuel finds out where he’s getting his first taste of NFL glory sooner, rather than later.
