player. 48. . DE. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 9

The idea of Joey Bosa nearing the edge of the top-10 seemed crazy one month ago, but today it’s looking a lot more reasonable the Buckeye phenom will migrate back home to Florida.

Rarely does the early off-season favorite prospect actually pan out to be the top pick, and on occasion the early favorite falls a bit.  We all remember Aaron Rodgers’ fall in his draft experience, and it’s turned out great for the Cal quarterback.

Just like Rodgers, Bosa’s fall will feel like a slight of sorts, and have him looking to prove to the entire league he should have been the first name called.

After a combine performance which left scouts and decision makers a little underwhelmed, Bosa will look to rebound and return to form at his March 10th pro day at Ohio State.

For the Buccaneers, a marriage with Bosa seems to be the right time and right place.  The team will be moving to a 4-3 base defense under new defensive coordinator Mike Smith, and they currently lack the explosive pass rushing needed to make it successful.

Bosa can also be trusted to fall off and become a 3-4 linebacker of sorts, as he did so on occasion for the Buckeyes.

The Bucs may not expect Bosa to be available when they use their first pick in the draft, but if he is, they should take him quickly and insert him next to Gerald McCoy as they try to usher in a new defensive identity for 2016.
