30. . RB. Ohio State. Ezekiel Elliott. 20. player
It doesn’t look like Chris Ivory will be coming back to New York, and the Jets are in the market for a running back. There are a few free agent options out there, but they can find a replacement, and potential upgrade, right here at the 20th pick in the NFL Draft.
Ezekiel Elliott was the often under-appreciated catalyst of the Buckeyes’ 2014-15 National Championship campaign, and really gained traction as a star during the playoffs.
His tough, no-hesitation running style is just what the Jets need, and he’s a willing pass protector with adequate skills.
He’s also a hidden receiving target which Ohio State did not use much, but could be developed at the NFL level by capable coaches.
Previously: Shilique Calhoun – DE – Michigan State
