Alabama. Jarran Reed. 26. player. 36. . DT

Jarran Reed is a tough interior defensive lineman, and can stuff the running game with the best of them.

His consistency is what the Seahawks will be after though, as defensive tackle Brandon Mebane heads to free agency, and is almost assured to get more money from another team.

Reed could come in and contribute immediately to Seattle’s front line, and may eventually prove to be an upgrade.

Coming from Alabama’s championship squad, Reed will bring the same winning attitude and work ethic to Seattle.  While it may not be the sexiest pick in the draft, taking Reed gives the Seahawks one more year of solid defensive play to chase down another trophy.
