49. . LB. Alabama. Reggie Ragland. 27. player

Drafting the Crimson Tide inside linebacker and moving Clay Matthews back outside seems to make the most sense for a Packers’ defense who just didn’t do enough in 2015.

With the struggles on offense, due to injuries mostly, the team needed to look to defense to win more than ever.  Without a solid nucleus of players, the unit wasn’t up to the task, and must add depth and youth coming into 2016.

Reggie Ragland is an effective player who doesn’t shy away from contact and attacks the play once he sees it.  An effective rusher as well, he led the Crimson Tide in tackles with 97.

His style will compliment Matthews’ style very well, and the two will make the Packers’ linebacker group very strong in 2016.
