5. Michael Pittman

Mike Alstott (above) was the lead blocker for our number five choice.  Pittman was signed by the Bucs prior to the 2002 season, a year that ended in the team’s first Super Bowl title.  Pittman rushed for 718 yards that first year with the team, and spent much of the rest of his career in Tampa.  His best year came in 2004, when he rushed for 926 yards and seven touchdowns.  He was an adept receiver as well, with five straight seasons of over 40 receptions, and two with 70+ receptions.

He will be remembered for his performance in the Super Bowl win over the Raiders, when he rushed for 124 yards on 29 carries.  He dominated that night, helping his team to a 48-21 victory over Oakland.

Honorable Mention: Keenan McCardell
