Sean Smith – CB

This seems like a long shot, but still worth a shot. It seems like the Raiders are the likely landing spot, but a 6’3″ corner that would face off against the likes of Julio Jones and Kelvin Benjamin for 25% of the yearly schedule would be a major addition. Smith has been an impact player for the Chiefs over the last few years. The interception totals are misleading, but Smith has over 50 passes defended in the last four seasons.

The NFC South is a mean, mean place. Each team sports a high-caliber quarterback with formidable weapons. Despite Alterraun Verner and Johnthan Banks getting fresh starts under defensive coordinator Mike Smith, that’s not enough. The Buccaneers are desperate for help across the secondary to help keep Cam Newton, Drew Brees, and Matt Ryan in check.
