Casey Hayward – CB

Second verse, same as the first…minus the 6’3″ stature. Hayward has been a very good corner for the Packers over the last four seasons, including a shortened season in 2013 due to injury. He has 169 tackles and nine interceptions in 51 games and, again, provides help in an extremely weak secondary. He may fit best at nickel corner as it appears that Sterling Moore will not be returning.

Hayward is another player that isn’t going to break the bank, but isn’t a cellar-dweller either. He fits the mold Licht has created for who he looks for in free agency. Guys who don’t cost astronomical contracts, but that can immediately benefit the team.
