. DT. Alabama. A'Shawn Robinson. 12. player. 15

The Saints’ big splash of free-agency to this point has been luring Coby Fleener away from Stanford teammate Andrew Luck, and the Indianapolis Colts.  While his presence will be a nice comfort piece for Drew Brees, it does nothing to address the league’s second worst defense.

A’Shawn Robinson from Alabama was a strong presence for the Crimson Tide’s defensive line during his collegiate career, and can be the same for New Orleans.  He immediately makes the line better, but will need help next to him to make the line worthy of game planning against.

There will be many more needs to address in what should be a defense-focused draft for the Saints, but Robinson is a nice start to help Brees and company find some success in 2016.

Previous Pick:  A’Shawn Robinson – DT – Alabama
