The Falcons’ biggest need lies with the tight end position, but 17th overall it too high for any of this year’s tight ends, so the team must address their defensive needs.

Atlanta’s pass rush was sub par at best in 2015, and Shaq Lawson from Clemson can come in and provide an immediate upgrade to the current edge rushers on the roster.

While Lawson is better suited as a 3-4 outside linebacker, he’ll be able to play in the Falcons’ 4-3 base defense effectively, and fall off as a linebacker when needed.

Sean Weatherspoon is returning to Atlanta hoping to revive his career, and whether Lawson is lining up next to him, or in front of him, the duo could bring the Falcon’s defense back to life.
