Jerrell Freeman is in Chicago with the Bears, and the Colts are left without an answer at middle linebacker.

Reggie Ragland is Alabama’s national championship winning middle linebacker, and one of the best talents in the draft.

As an immediate starter in Indianapolis, Ragland can be the beginning of repairing a Colts’ defense which finished 26th statistically in 2015.

When you consider the team played in one of the worst divisions in the NFL last season, those numbers are even more atrocious.

The Colts need defensive leadership, and Ragland is the best available at 18th overall.
