. OT. Ole Miss. Laremy Tunsil. 1. player. 35

At this point it seems we’re all just awaiting the announcement saying Laremy Tunsil and the Tennessee Titans have agreed to a contract.  Then we can all watch as the Ole Miss tackle struts across the stage and hugs the Commish.

Tunsil is the clear favorite for the Titans with the first overall pick in the draft, and why wouldn’t he be?  With a franchise tied directly to the health of second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota, the team needs to do anything and everything they can to keep him upright as much as possible.  Just ask the Dallas Cowboys how things work when you have talent and an injured starting quarterback.

The Titans don’t exactly have a Dez Bryant, but getting DeMarco Murray is a step in the right direction, and will definitely help keep their quarterback a little cleaner.  Murray will look to do for his team what Doug Martin did for the Buccaneers, and by taking the ball out of his quarterback’s hands, he also takes defenders off of his back.

After missing four games in his rookie campaign, the rarely injured Mariota will benefit greatly from having a running back out to prove he’s no wash-out, and a tackle like Tunsil to protect him in the pocket.
