Buffalo placed the franchise tag on starting left tackle Cordy Glenn, which is good for a year, but unless the team can come to some sort of long-term arrangement they need to plan for the future.
Ohio State’s Taylor Decker would be a great addition to the right side of the Bills’ offensive line, and would provide Tyrod Taylor and LeSean McCoy with two great blockers to help them be more effective in the new season.
What makes this pick even better is it gives Decker one year at the right tackle position to adjust to NFL speed and play before potentially having to protect Taylor’s blindside, should Glenn leave next season.
The Bills would prefer to sign Glenn of course, but if not, they’ve got their answer and can move on knowing they have an NFL capable left tackle.
