With Alex Mack off the market there’s really nothing, beyond injury, which will move Ryan Kelly from Alabama out of this pick.

The Redskins’ offensive line struggled, and one big part was horrible play from the center position.  Kelly is a smart, tough, and efficient line leader who will come in and instantly make the Redskins offensive line more effective.

The running game will benefit the most, and when the running game is going, any team can win in the NFL.

With Kirk Cousins coming back and finally securing his status as the starter in D.C., the franchise needs to give him a center he can trust.  Kelly and Cousins may not be a political pairing, but fans in the Capital will love them all the same.
