B.J. Raji isn’t what he used to be, and the Packers need a playmaker on the defensive front. Andrew Billings from Baylor is a strong run-stopper who started for two years, and has flashed signs of being an elite pro talent.
He has an effective first step, and the power to push opposing linemen into the pocket. His sack numbers will not be high in his first season, but his talents can be developed over time, and he’ll prove strong against the run in the mean-time.
If Raji returns, then Billings will be a great depth piece until he develops. If Raji departs Green Bay, then he can be a suitable replacement who can insure the Packers continue to enjoy in-game success.
